With domestic clubs around the world kicking off another soccer calendar year, Cristiano Ronaldo also embarked on his second season with Al Nassr. After enduring a poor debut season, the Portuguese superstar is desperate to begin the new season on a high note. And he certainly did.

Yesterday, the skipper helped Al Nassr clinch a crucial victory against Al Shorta in the AFC Champions Cup semi-finals. While his efforts are getting him praised by the soccer fraternity, his all-time fanatic, Piers Morgan, also jumped on the bandwagon.

We don’t know about others, but Ronaldo seems to have left an indelible mark on Piers Morgan. The English broadcaster has often sung high praises of CR7 vocally. In fact, once again, he came out in support of his favorite soccer star and praised him for his latest achievement. The 38-year-old struck a decisive penalty in the 75th minute to give the Jeddah-based club an important win.

Subsequently, with the goal, he also became the first player to score in four consecutive games of the championship. His efforts caught the eye of Morgan, who couldn’t stop himself from heaping praise on the Al Nassr star. While sharing the clip of his goal on Twitter, he wrote “BREAKING: The GOAT @Cristiano leads @AlNassrFC_EN into their first ever Arab Club Champions Cup final with a 75th minute winner & becomes first player to score in 4 consecutive games in the tournament. The records continue to chase him.”
