Nonetheless, he was deeply disheartened by the present circumstances at Manchester United, with ten Hag at the helm. Regarding the same, he said, “I think it’s sad what’s happened because it’s got to the point where you’ve got owners of a football club can’t even go to their club and watch games because you know the fans are just so disillusioned with what’s going on.

He further revealed that the day Sir Alex Ferguson left United was doomsday for the club, as no one after him could make wise choices to uplift the club. Ferguson, who is widely considered the exceptional manager in the history of soccer, helped the Red Devils win a whopping 38 trophies. He left the club in 2013, and along with him, the club also lost its unparalleled glory and dominance.

The legendary golfer stated that people of his generation were not prepared for a United without Sir Alex Ferguson. He added, “It’s this toxic culture that I don’t think will be able to be broken until you know the owners go.” According to him, the Glazer family should leave United, as they have spent little money and taken a fortune from the club. During further conversation, the golfer also traveled back to United, where David Beckham was a player.
