Chinese soccer fan left devastated by courier company’s mistake

A Chinese fan named Xue from Jiangsu province wanted his hands on the Lionel Messi signed mini golden ball special edition. He paid around $14,400 to purchase one of the balls on sale. Xue used the state-owned Express Mail Service and posted it on his friend’s address in Shanghai. When he tracked the parcel, it showed the status as delivered.

He asked his friend from Shanghai about the parcel. The friend told him that they did not deliver it to him. When Xue asked the company about the package, they replied courier was delivered. Later, the company revealed they left the packet at a neighbor’s doorstep, who denied taking such a parcel. When the friend informed him about it, Xue raised a complaint with the company.

Xue refused the offer, and the company promised to revise its proposal. Meanwhile, the company hasn’t nominated any sum yet. Whether the company raises its offer remains to be seen. However, the Chinese fan has lost a chance to get his hands on the special edition golden ball.
