Speaking on ESPN FC’s podcast, Ale Moreno reckoned that there could be some secret reason behind Lionel Messi’s fitness. Moreno said, “He’s calling it muscle fatigue, Tata Martino is. I call it there’s an issue here there is some sort of injury concern going on with Lionel Messi and that’s why he doesn’t make the trip to Atlanta that’s why he doesn’t go and play.”

Further exploring Inter Miami’s strategy with regards to Messi, Moreno added, “And because you’re Tata Martino and Inter Miami and you have said making the playoffs unlikely, what’s our priority: we just won League’s cup next thing is making sure that Lionel Messi is healthy and fit for the U. S Open final against the Houston Dynamo that is priority.”
