Reflecting on this decision, Mbappe’s mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, has expressed that she harbors no regrets and would have even accepted an unprecedented amount to secure the deal.

The ongoing Mbappe-Real Madrid saga has become a never-ending soap opera, with the storyline stretching back to 2021. Presently, Los Blancos is making efforts to secure a deal with the French forward, enabling him to join their team as a free agent during the upcoming summer transfer window. This echoes the events of 2022, which unfortunately did not play out in their favor.

In a preview of the show obtained by Le Parisien newspaper, Fayza Lamari expressed no regrets about turning down Real Madrid and sticking with PSG in 2022. “There is no guilt and no shame,” stated the 49-year-old.

She further added, “If we could have taken 10 billion, we would have taken it, because that’s how the system works.” In 2022, the Spanish side reportedly offered a yearly salary of $26 million to sign Mbappe. Conversely, PSG offered an astounding yearly salary of $78 million plus loyalty bonuses.

Ultimately, the 25-year-old signed a two-year contract with PSG that includes an option to extend which he has yet to exercise. The contract is due to expire in the summer of 2024, and there is an increasing likelihood of Kylian Mbappe departing from the club considering the alternatives available to him.
