On similar lines, soccer stars too, have often shared their commendation for the former world number 1. One of them was a Brazilian soccer player who shared his love for the tennis icon recently.
The soccer player also went on to reveal that his experience did not turn out as expected. While he was very much eager to get himself an autograph from the Swiss maestro, unfortunately, he could not. This was despite the best efforts from fellow tennis star Dominic Thiem. Former Chelsea defender Filipe Luis has shared an incident regarding the 42-year-old. In an episode of the Charla podcast, he said, “In my case, I am friends with many tennis players, I spoke to Dominic Thiem, Zverev. There was an ATP tournament going on in London. I was there with the national team. So, I asked for a favor to meet Roger Feder. I wanted his autograph on the Brazil national team shirt. After the game, everything was arranged. We would get his sign on the shirt and a photo. So the time comes. We were told he would pass by this passage. But, he just passed by and we were left disappointed.”

A few days later, while Luis was sitting with his friends at his home, still unable to get over the grief of not getting the signature, he received the signed shirt with a photo.
