Demands for drastic changes within Manchester United arguably dominate discussions in every other soccer circle. Some want manager Erik ten Hag sacked. Another lot demands the club’s American owners, the Glazers, to step down. Meanwhile, quite a few have also made calls for the Premier League giants to rebuild their squad, even at the cost of letting certain stars go. Now, a former soccer player turned analyst candidly opined that the Red Devils should show the door to three players, in order to thrive.

The January transfer window will commence in a few days. At this juncture, soccer analyst Janusz Michallik laid out a plan for Manchester United to make the best of the January window. This includes a move to let go of three veterans!

In his recent conversation with Dalen Cuff on an ESPN FC episode, Janusz Michallik explained a transformation is the need of an hour at Old Trafford. Despite Casemiro’s Champions League pedigree and a decent first season with Erik ten Hag’s side, Michalik pointed out that he should be the first one United should sell in the January window. Then he revealed the next two stars that should go. “Players like Bruno [Fernandes] and [Marcus] Rashford, in my opinion, I would float it out there. Because if you truly are going to rebuild this team, then you’ve to say to yourself, these players, to one degree or another, have been underperforming.”

While commenting on Manchester United’s future, Michallik said that Casemiro’s potential transfer will be the ‘easy one.’ The analysts’ judgment with respect to Casemiro is pretty much on par with that of the rumors hovering around Manchester United’s front office. The club has not yet revealed any plans to consider bids for Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford. If not them, then who else are the Red Devils willing to sell in January? Let’s see.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to hear offers for Casemiro, Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial, and Jadon Sancho. Casemiro is already at the epicenter of certain rumors that link him to the Saudi League’s Al Nassr. While this could facilitate Casemiro’s reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo, Ligue 1’s Paris Saint Germain too are reportedly in talks with Manchester United to land the Brazilian.

However, these rumors are not subject to players alone. Rumor mill understands that former Chelsea manager Graham Potter might replace Erik ten Hag after the former met with the club’s incoming investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Either way, Manchester United is likely to witness some drastic changes in January. But will it be for the better? Only time will tell.
