Although the prize money is lower than the Leagues Cup, the pool allocation is closer to the MLS Cup. The winner of the tournament receives $300,000 in prize money. In the meantime, the runners-up will receive $100,000, and the team that further advances the farthest from each lower division receives $25,000 prize money.

The winner will also receive a berth in the 2023 CONCACAF Champions Cup. It can help the team to compete in one of the prestigious tournaments in North America. The club will have its name engraved on the Dewar Challenge trophy. As it is one of the oldest cup competitions in the USA, the teams can boast their success on the trophy.

The trophy is showcased at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Frisco, Texas, owing to its historical value. When compared to the other tournaments in North America and Europe, the prize money remains a little low. Take the MLS Cup, for example. They have similar prize money of $300,000 for the winners.

The runners-up will receive $150,000, and the Conference finalists will receive $100,000. The Conference semi-final team will obtain $47,500, while the teams in the first round get $20,000. When comparing this to the Leagues Cup, the prize money is much lower. The winners of the Leagues Cup, Inter Miami for 2023, received $2,000,000 in prize money. The prize money for each game awarded to the clubs is $100,000, while the prize money for each win is $50,000.

The highest level of club prize money comes from the UEFA Champions League. The winners receive $22 million as it is the most prestigious cup competition in the world. Notably, the African Champions League winners get $2.5 million, and the one in the AFC Champions receives $4 million. Hopefully, they can up the ante for next year’s tournaments.
