According to reports, the player allegedly offered himself to FC Barcelona, even agreeing to take a massive pay cut to join the Catalan side. Nottingham Forest released the thirty-one-year-old earlier this season and is yet to find a new club. Once a stunning prodigy, the world has slowly crumbled down for the talented player.

Jesse Lingard responds to Paul Scholes’s criticism

Manchester United star Jesse Lingard is looking to keep himself in shape in hopes of finding a potential suitor during the ongoing transfer window. However, the player’s latest social media post attracted the attention of a former United star who was not too impressed with Lingard. Paul Scholes reacted to Lingard’s post, stating, “Are you gonna f**k about in the gym or are you gonna actually play football?” However, it seems like Lingard remains undistracted by Scholes’ comment as he replies with laughing emoticons. 

The midfielder rose to prominence at Manchester United, making over 200 appearances for the side. However, the player failed to live up to the expectations, with the club shipping him off to Nottingham Forest in 2022. While many expected Jesse Lingard to use Forest as a platform to revive his career, the English star failed to leave his mark on the club and was let go last June.
