Things got heated during the Saudi Pro League clash between Al Ahli and Al Nassr. Both sides saw their opening goal ruled out because of VAR intervention. Cristiano Ronaldo registered the first goal of the contest from the spot. However, the home fans were not too pleased with the referees’ decision to award their opponents a penalty.

While Al Nassr players tried to celebrate their captain’s goal, Al Ahli fans took out their frustration as they rained down water bottles on the rival players. Cristiano once again seemed unfazed by the fan reaction as he tried to rile the fans up, signaling them to throw some more bottles. Meanwhile, Al Nassr star Sadio Mane took things to a different level as he somersaulted in front of the opposition fans, trying to avoid the projectiles.

Despite the attempt by rival fans to throw them off their game, Cristiano Ronaldo and his men maintained their composure for the remaining part of the contest. The team kept their defense solid as they held Al Ahli attackers from leveling things up to bag the three points at the end of the final whistle. While Al Nassr may love the win, it seems like Cristiano Ronaldo’s relations with Saudi Arabian fans are worsening with each passing day.

Fans in Saudi Arabia are not pleased with Cristiano Ronaldo!

The past few months have seen Cristiano Ronaldo emerge as one of the most booed players in the Saudi Pro League. A majority of rival fans are not too impressed with the player after his recent temper tantrums. However, the player isn’t the only one responsible for his actions. For months rival fans have tried to get under Cristiano’s skin by chanting Lionel Messi’s name during most of Al Nassr’s games.

Cristiano was also slapped with a one-game ban earlier this month following his obscene gesture towards Al Shadab fans. Many officials in Saudi Arabia aren’t too pleased with the player, considering he is the face of the Saudi Pro League. It will be interesting to see if the recent outburst from fans will force the player to tone down in act in an attempt to calm the fans in the coming weeks.
