Soccer transfers are always a topic of debate. However, the triangle between Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid, and PSG might slowly become one of the most talked-about transfer deals. The French superstar is currently contracted with PSG; however, his deal with the Parisians comes to an end next summer. While fans around the world expect the player to make a move to Real Madrid, a former soccer star has suggested that he do just the opposite.

However, a move to Real Madrid might not be as easy as it sounds for Mbappe. While PSG accused the Spanish side of going behind their back and negotiating with their star player, Madrid has denied any involvement. The side also issued an official statement last night, claiming that it had held no meeting with the PSG star.

Former soccer star Samir Nasri was present with Le Journal du Dimanche for an interview. During the interview, the player was asked to touch down on his thoughts on Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid. The player-turned-commentator stated that Mbappe is a crucial player for the national team and should stay in France.

“If he leaves, he will leave a gap, but with the budget, they will be able to sign other players – who will not be Mbappé, that’s for sure. But today he has so much importance, whether it’s in the French national team or at his club. Two years ago, I said he was the best player in the world. I still believe it.”

Nasri then added that Mbappe would stay in PSG and help them win the UCL title rather than go to Madrid and win the nth title. “I have always expressed my feelings: he is from the Paris region and if I were him, I would stay at PSG. Instead of going to Madrid, to win the 50th Champions League… Whereas PSG has never won it. If OM had been owned by Qatar when I was at the club, I would never have left. I think it’s better to be the king of your people.”
