Swiss Tennis Sensation Dominic Stricker Reveals the Key Advice From Idol Roger Federer

Over the years, Roger Federer has displayed some of the best tennis the world has ever witnessed. By doing that, he has encouraged a number of youngsters to play the sport. He has been a great role model and is one of the most idolized athletes in the world today.
Recently, Roger Federer was praised by upcoming tennis sensation, Dominic Stricker. The Swiss teenager is in awe of his compatriot. The pair practiced for three weeks in Dubai earlier this season. When Roger was busy training while being on the sidelines, Dominic was his practice partner.
The 18-year-old stated, “It was just an amazing feeling to practice with him. I was with him for three weeks in Dubai and I learned a lot. I’m very happy to show what he taught me. The biggest lesson is what he told me to do on serve.”

Roger Federer helped Dominic Stricker with his serve
The Swiss teenager felt ecstatic about seeing his idol, Roger Federer. During his time with the 39-year-old veteran, Stricker sharpened his skills in the game. The biggest lesson he learned from the great Swiss maestro was to work on his serve.
Dominic won his first ATP Challenger Trophy in Lugano, Switzerland, last week. In the previous season, he won the French Open juniors event, capturing titles in both, singles and doubles, categories.

Roger Federer’s disappointing comeback

Reflecting on to Federer, he returned on Tour in Dubai after being on the sidelines for over a year. After his Australian Open exit last year, he was forced to undergo two knee surgeries. He featured at the ATP Doha Open and lost in the second round. he was, however, content with his performance after returning on Tour after a lengthy layoff.

Federer is scheduled to resume his season at the ATP Geneva Open 2021. It will be a good addition to his calendar because he intends to compete at the French Open this season.
