Fans add flavor to any sport. They inspire during the lows and celebrate during the highs, and are the ones who keep the game going for years. Without them, no sport would be a success. Tennis was on a long break due to the COVID-19 situation. During this time, it was the fans who kept the fire alive and waited patiently for the sport to resume. Now that tennis is back, Rafael Nadal along with Kia Motors has decided to thank these loyal fans.
Nadal shared a small video where he thanked two little fans of tennis. During the lockdown period, young Ava and Ivy kept their game of tennis intact. After sharing a video of themselves on Instagram, the little ones garnered so much attention that Kia decided to showcase them in the promotional video.
Nadal’s video saw him sharing a heartwarming message for the young little girls. Nadal encouraged them to keep up their game and thanked them for the inspiration. He also promised to send them a small token of appreciation.

“Hello, Ava and Ivy Rose. I’m really impressed about your tennis skills during the lockdown, I’m not sure I could keep the ball up as much as you do, I really hope you’re as excited as I’m with the tennis returning, so on behalf of Kia I will send you a pair of wristbands signed by me to give you both. I want to say thank you very much for all your support and I will say hello to Ash Barty when I see her next time. Take care and see you soon,” Nadal stated.

Although Rafa lost out in the quarter-finals to the eventual runner-up Diego Schwartzman, he is still a force to be reckoned with at the Roland Garros. With a record 12 victories to his name in Paris, Nadal will be going for his 13th French title this season. While Rafa might not entirely be what he used to be, he is still a beast on clay. The coming few weeks will tell whether he is able to clinch the coveted 13th.
