“It Came From The Heart” – Simona Halep Donates For Coronavirus Victims

World Number two tennis player Simona Halep is safe and sound in her residence in Bucharest, Romania. Amid the coronavirus widespread, Halep and her boyfriend Tony Iuruc have made their contributions. They have donated EUR 30,000 to help Romania fight the coronavirus.
“It’s true, and this is the amount, EUR 30,000. I don’t watch the news, but I was at home with my boyfriend Tony. We saw how hard it was for everyone. We both decided to donate….No matter the amount, I have to donate.” Halep told Digi Sport.
“It came from the heart. I don’t like to officially announce these donations. The doctors and the Romanians need help.”

Also, Halep previously donated for medical equipment in hospitals in Romania. “The coronavirus is like nothing we have ever faced before. It’s important to remember that tennis is not important in comparison to this life-threatening opponent,” she said.

“I have never done this” – Simona Halep on self-isolation
The Romanian withdraw from Indian Wells tournament pertaining to a foot injury. But now, she has recovered from her injury and moving around in her locality to keep herself fit. However, she is not used to being self-isolated and staying at home for several weeks.
“I miss the fact that I can’t hang out with my friends, we can’t gather up. I liked to go out in the city a lot, to sit and laugh, to tell stories. And isolated myself completely. I haven’t met somebody I don’t know since 9th March,” 2020 Dubai champion Halep said.
