Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios is back in the news again. Although the Greek-Australian player was absent in the recent clay-court season, he knows how to keep himself involved with proceedings all the same. His ongoing struggles with injuries from last season have continued to trouble him this year too.
Recently, Nick Kyrgios posted an old picture of him along with World No. 1 Novak Djokovic where they can be seen taking a break from a practice session on a clay court. The caption was quite amusing because the Canberra-born player had written, “Yes this photo is real 😳😉 how u think he won RG 😛.“

Kyrgios indirectly meant that it was due to his training sessions with the Serb that helped Djokovic win the French Open 2021. Such quirky acts are expected from Nick and he has been entertaining fans in a similar fashion for a while. He is one of the most followed players, and he doesn’t take his fan base for granted.
This season, Nick has not competed in an event since the Australian Open early this year. During the event, he was involved in one of the most interesting matches but ended up on the losing side against Austrian player Dominic Thiem.

On the other hand, Djokovic has been on cloud nine this season. Having pocketed the first two Grand Slam titles of 2021, the Serbian machine looks to be in no mood to slow down his pace of conquering records.
Currently, the grass-court season is on and all players are expected to be in England for the Wimbledon Championships 2021. Kyrgios pulled out of the current grass-court event and only time will tell if he will be seen at South West 19 this year.
