Planned Delays?

While developers and publishers want to release their latest titles at the earliest, they also want to ensure prime quality and best for both parties. And what could also be the reason are potential sales boosts and promotions.

Even though there’s no conclusive data that proves that the delays are planned, it is not too far-fetched to think so. Many developers have been pushing back the releases by several months. It could also be a tactic to create a buzz or hype around the title just enough to get the fans enticed in time for the actual launch. This would also mean the title would hit the ground running and a good head start in sales.
