UFC middleweight star Paulo Costa has fired shots at his next opponent Israel Adesanya. Costa has mentioned it time and again that this fight is very personal to him and that he’s keen on causing a major upset.The fight is set for September 27th, with both men headlining the event.

Paulo will look to get his hands on UFC gold but faces a highly experienced fighter in Adesanya. ‘Izzy’ defended his title against Yoel Romero in his last fight, and is unbeaten in the UFC.

Despite his impressive record, Costa was quick to point out that, Adesanya was extremely cautious during his fight against Yoel Romero. Also, he said that Adesanya didn’t deserve the belt and snatched a victory against Romero.

“I have just one question Adesanya. why you freezing when you face Romero? You’re not a real champion, man. You don’t deserve. I will kill you.” Said Costa

Adesanya has had a lot to say about his opponent during the buildup to this fight. Israel labeled Costa as a giant ‘ignoramus’ and is confident of securing an easy win against the Brazilian.

Izzy mentioned that Costa is inexperienced against ranked opponents, and is certain that he’ll give Costa his first defeat.

“He’s dumb. He’s dumb and he walks forward and he throws shots. That’s what makes it really exciting, and that’s what I’m looking forward to. I’m looking forward to this big, inflated ignoramus, running up on me, trying to throw shots as I keep moving and sticking him” said Adesanya
