Conor McGregor is on his road to recovery and looks jacked in the process of doing so.

The Irishman is currently on the sidelines because of a gruesome leg injury suffered in his previous fight. He took on Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in a trilogy fight and broke his leg at the end of the first round. The fight had to be stopped, and he has been out of action since then. He went through surgery and recently started hitting the pads again.

However, not hitting the pads didn’t keep him away from lifting weight. In a series of recently released photos, McGregor looks bigger than ever, and according to him, weighs 190 lbs. In one tweet, he said, “The trapezius muscle, the most overlooked muscle in all of fighting. Sign up to @McGregorFast for my trap explosion program.”

After a while, McGregor posted another tweet, with some more photos, and said, “No games when I get back.”

And in another tweet that followed, he said, “190lbs of granite.”

By the looks of it, ‘The Notorious‘ can jump up a couple of divisions, and make a return at middleweight. It is also something his coach, John Kavanagh, jokingly said in a recent interview.

Conor McGregor to return as a middleweight?

According to McGregor himself, he’ll be back in full mixed martial arts training soon. He said, “I will be full mixed martial arts sparring by April. Easily! By then a return will be imminent. But I must be patient. I will beat this!”

His coach, John Kavanagh, in a recent interview with Submission Radio, was asked about McGregor’s return. While discussing about it, he joked about him possibly returning as a middleweight. He said, “Yeah, I was actually only speaking to him a couple of hours ago… He’s gonna be back in the gym. He’s gonna be back on the mats now, in the next couple of weeks with me. He is doing a lot of strength training at the moment, the guy’s jacked. I think he’s coming back as a middleweight.”

However, the idea of him coming back as middleweight might not be so far-fetched. According to McGregor, he weighs 190 pounds right now, and cutting just a few pounds won’t be an issue for him.

With still time to his return, everyone will have to wait and see what Conor McGregor has planned.
