Khabib Nurmagomedov recently gave his thoughts on Francis Ngannou and Dana White’s situation. Ngannou versus Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 had piqued everyone’s interest. Their history, as well as other aspects that led up to the fight, made it extremely interesting. The Cameroonian fighter unleashed his wrestling skills and left everyone awestruck. He won the fight through a unanimous decision. However, people were shocked when the UFC President did not put the belt on Ngannou.

Former UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov recently spoke to Sky Sports about this. As Eagle FC’s promoter, he had his own input on the situation.

He said (h/t Sky Sports), “I don’t know. Someone told me he went to the rest room or something like this. I don’t know, honestly. I don’t want to go in between these two guys, I think they’re going to take care of this themselves. In my position, even if I have in my promotion someone I don’t like and I’m supposed to put a belt on him, this is business. I’m going to go, put the belt on him and leave. This is my opinion.”

White has, however, provided an explanation. According to him, he had to go backstage to deal with something. While he didn’t specify what was going on backstage, White mentioned that he was in contact with Ngannou all week.
