Alexander Volkanovski is giving fans a tangible reason to help a life-saving cause—$125,000 worth. Volkanovski and coach Eugene Bareman discussed the destructive impact of coward punches in a new Instagram reel for the Walk Without Fear Trust in Perth. The hook? A raffle for a limited-edition BMW M4 CSL, with proceeds benefiting the Trust’s life-saving efforts in New Zealand.

The conversation quickly turned to the results already achieved by the organization. ‘The Great’ said that Australia’s stronger rules have already had an impact, with over 300 coward punch prosecutions in the last 30 years and more than 60% of offenders sentenced to prison. “We’ve actually seen the numbers in deaths come down, especially in bars and clubs,” he said.

However, Eugene Bareman revealed that New Zealand still suffers the same challenges. “These attacks, they’re not just cheap shots—they’re life-changing,” he said, highlighting the importance of legislative reform and community education. So now, the $125,000 BMW raffle is essential to the campaign and is intended to raise funds while engaging supporters.

“Every ticket helps the cause and puts you in the draw to win a BMW M4,” Alexander Volkanovski said, with Bareman adding, “Join the fight that really matters at walkwithoutfeartrust.org.” The campaign uses the high-profile award to attract donations while also highlighting the constant risks posed by coward punches.

The proceeds from the raffle will benefit youth education programs, public awareness initiatives, and school presentations around New Zealand. The Trust’s goal is to influence attitudes about violence before it occurs by emphasizing real-life effects and teaching prevention measures.

With support from Alexander Volkanovski, Bareman, and other MMA figures, the campaign combines awareness and impact, ensuring that donations result in measurable community safety improvements. It is also worth noting that Volkanovski isn’t the only UFC fighter who is actively supporting this cause, as even Israel Adesanya recently campaigned to pay tribute to his fallen friend.

Alexander Volkanovski’s touching message also shared by Israel Adesanya

As Alexander Volkanovski continues to promote the Walk Without Fear Trust, Israel Adesanya also stepped in last month to boost the message. Teaming up with teammates Carlos Ulberg and Navajo Stirling under coach Eugene Bareman, ‘The Last Stylebender’ also became a part of an Instagram campaign aimed at highlighting the dangers of coward punches.

However, for him, it was a lot more personal, as the move was also to honor the memory of his fellow countryman and fighter Liufau Tu’iha’angana Vake, whose passing due to a coward punch led to the creation of the Walk Without Fear Trust. Israel Adesanya’s campaign doubled as an homage to Fau and a call to action against street violence in New Zealand.

The initiative used an unconventional and appealing approach: a choreographed Instagram video that mixed a humorous performance with a serious message. While the dance grabbed attention, the underlying purpose was more pressing: teaching communities about the catastrophic impact of coward punches and urging preventative action through awareness and support.

To encourage public participation, the campaign also included a nationwide raffle for a BMW M4 CSL, the same as Alexander Volkanovski’s aforementioned campaign. By combining star power, creative outreach, and tangible rewards, Adesanya and Volkanovski are ensuring Fau’s legacy drives meaningful change across New Zealand and Australia.
