The ongoing conflict between Ukraine-Russia has now entered its third week. Major sports leagues and even UFC have been impacted by it, as it holds a versatile roster of fighters that comes from all corners of the world.

Now, UFC’s recent decisions and fight bookings have attracted the ire of famous musician, and vocalist for Amon Amarth, Johan Hegg.

Johan Hegg is not a fan of UFC?

The upcoming UFC London event will feature Russian heavyweight fighter, Alexander Volkov against British mixed martial artist, Tom Aspinall. Moreover, another Russian fighter will compete soon as interim bantamweight champion, Petr Yan, is also targeted to compete at UFC 273.

These announcements from the promotion have angered Johan Hegg as the singer took to Twitter to share his disappointment. In a series of 9 tweets, the Swedish singer highlighted his issue with the promotion and why he will no longer support it.

In a follow-up tweet, he offered clarification and stated that he has nothing but love and respect for all the fighters, but doesn’t agree with the promotions on every decision.

According to a report by MMAJunkie, UFC president Dana White was also quizzed about the conflict and how it could impact the promotion. The roster currently holds many key names, who could be impacted because of the conflict and it could hamper the organization’s plans.

“Like I tell you guys all the time, just when you think the world’s about to get normal again, it gets even nuttier. So we’ll see how it works out. You keep asking me questions like, ‘Will Conor McGregor fight for the title when he comes back in the fall?’ I don’t know what’s going on in the fall. When the fall comes, we’ll see what’s happening. ‘If Petr Yan cannot get into the country?’ I have no idea what’s going to happen with Russia and all these other things. I don’t know.”
