With Anthony Hernandez out with an injury, Brendan Allen, on paper, had to take a risk fighting Reinier de Ridder on short notice. The Dutchman had been on a hot streak since his debut last November, so there were people who were leaning towards a win for ‘RDR’. However, Brendan Allen flipped the script and dominated de Ridder, which led to the former ONE double champion giving up by the end of the fourth round. It has now helped ‘All in’ to get into the title conversation, and he’s got Belal Muhammad to thank for that.

Belal Muhammad often gets a bad rep and faces criticism for his UFC persona and fighting style. However, the man is all about values. Some values have pushed him to become one of the best MMA fighters today. On the other hand, Muhammad’s values revolve around loyalty to his family, which also includes his team. And as he prepares for his fight against Ian Garry, ‘Remember the Name’ decided to give training a break and help his teammate, Brendan Allen, out.

Brendan Allen hails Belal Muhammad as a coach

Brendan Allen claims that his team is “amazing” and that one of the most important members of his team is Belal Muhammad. While singing the praises of the former welterweight champion, the middleweight fighter, in a post-fight interview, said, “My brother, Belal. He’s here. He’s right in the middle of a camp. He flew all the way here during the middle of his training camp because he believed in me.”

Belal Muhammad appears to have great coaching skills, according to Brendan Allen. The Beaufort native feels confident training when ‘Remember the Name’ is a part of his camp. But Belal’s not the only person who has Allen’s back, and he made sure to mention that and give them the credit that they deserve. “All these guys stopped their whole lives with their families and everything to fully put in effort into me for these for… three and a half[-week] training,” Allen further stated. “Belal’s an amazing coach. Like, he has tons of experience.”

It was then that a statement from Brendan Allen felt like a potential tease about a move up in the weight class for Belal Muhammad. Even though he’s been a 170-pounder for most of his UFC career, his teammate claims he’s got the tools to be the 185lb champion, while also excelling at his coaching work. “I still think he’s the best middleweight in the world… He’s like, ‘I don’t care. Go, go. If you don’t go burpees. Come on, go. I don’t care,'” Allen added.

As far as Brendan Allen’s statements were concerned, it appears that Belal Muhammad might be a coach who tends to push his fighters. But according to the former welterweight champion’s recent revelation, it appears that Khabib Nurmagomedov pushes his fighters way harder. Here’s what he had to say.

Belal Muhammad reveals Khabib Nurmagomedov’s brutal coaching method for Umar

The Dagestani bunch is known for being extremely hardworking and disciplined fighters. Khabib Nurmagomedov is perhaps the biggest star in MMA that has come out of that Russian Republic, but he’s equally a magnificent coach who helped his protégé, Islam Makhachev, achieve UFC title success. However, at UFC 311, Team Khabib hit a brick wall when Umar Nurmagomedov lost in dominant fashion.

Now, Khabib Nurmagomedov means business because it appears that he’s been pushing Umar pretty hard ahead of his fight against Mario Bautista at UFC 321. Belal Muhammad has revealed that training sessions have been the most intense compared to previous camps. His cousin’s losing the zero in his record hasn’t sat well with the 29-0 legend. “He’s been out there doing his whole camp with Khabib being the main coach. And Khabib is the craziest coach. He’s going to push him harder than he’s ever been pushed before. Especially coming off his first loss, Khabib’s not going to let him take a break,” Muhammad stated on the No Scripts Podcast.

Well, he might be a different type of coach, but Belal Muhammad has the same level of loyalty as ‘The Eagle’. What’s more interesting is the fact that his loyalty doesn’t just revolve around helping out his teammates, but also helping out people in general, with his documented instance of helping out a family affected by the Gaza turmoil standing out as the perfect example. It shows his loyalty to his roots as well. Would you agree? Let us know in the comments down below.
