Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson responded shortly after Conor McGregor’s coach subtly poked fun at the actor’s global deal with the UFC.

‘The Rock’, after achieving gold in his pro wrestling career and hitting the summit of success with his acting career as well, headed on to become an entrepreneur. The highest-paid actor in the world took the sporting route similar to other athletes of his caliber. And released ‘Project Rock’ branded sporting goods in a partnership with sportswear giant, Under Armour.

Soon enough, ‘The Rock’ also signed a multi-year deal with the UFC to become the official footwear sponsor of athletes in the promotion. However, it prompted a subtle jibe from Conor McGregor‘s coach, John Kavanagh, on Twitter.

“So @TheRock is supplying @ufc runners now? God sure has a sense of humour 😄,” Kavanagh Tweeted.

But ‘The Rock’ was also quick in his response and replied to the coach’s Tweet in a classy manner.

“Coach, yup my @ProjectRock is now @ufc’s official footwear. This new BSR design is our first UNISEX shoe and inspired directly from my training. Charged + TriBase technology for absorption, flexibility and grip. We are the #1 selling training shoe. Awesome footwear for fighters!” Johnson wrote on Twitter.

Johnson, who has been making waves with his business ventures, might have signed one of the biggest deals for his brand, ‘Project Rock’ with the UFC.

By signing the deal, Project Rock will become the UFC’s official footwear sponsor. As part of the agreement, Project Rock footwear will be worn on all UFC-related occasions, such as fight week events, weigh-ins, octagon walks, and training sessions. In addition to fighters, corner teams and staff are also required to do the same.

The UFC will be replacing Reebok, a former Adidas brand, as its official footwear sponsor as their contract expires.
