The bantamweight champ appeared on the MMA Hour Show with Ariel Helwani. When asked about his next opponent, Sterling had some bold words. According to Sterling, ‘Suga’ doesn’t have a say in anything and simply listens to “Daddy Dana,” referring to UFC president Dana White. Sterling also challenged O’Malley to a fight in September, promising to look good whooping his opponent’s behind.

“Sean doesn’t have a say in anything. He listens to Daddy Dana. He is gonna do what Daddy Dana says. Sean, I know you are out there watching right now. I am gonna look good whooping that *ss baby. September! I know he is like ‘keep your weight down, don’t get too big.’ Shut up, man! All these guys crying about my weight. Eat more food, lift more weight. Stop thinking about me. Get off my job dude, we fight, I make the weight, I show up. Shut up!”
Sterling‘s comments on the MMA Hour Show that he is not afraid to speak his mind and that he is confident in his abilities.
O’Malley did not agree with the UFC 288 decision!
The fight between ‘Funkmaster’ and ‘Triple C’ was a very close one. Both fighters were giving tough competition to each other in all 5 rounds. After the judges scored the fight in favor of Sterling, many fans and fighters raised questions. A big chunk of those watching the fight believed that Cejudo deserved the win.

One of them was ‘Sugar’ Sean O’Malley. In the post-fight conference, O’Malley revealed his opinions about the fight. According to him, Cejudo had won the fight. “I thought Henry was up 3-1 going into the fifth, I was honestly pretty surprised that Aljo won. I thought Henry did what he did to do”, said the next title contender.
