Jon Jones seems to be in trouble again and this time the UFC heavyweight champion allegedly threatened a drug testing official. This news has spread like wildfire, There is even a CCTV footage that was presented by Jones himself. Things seem to be getting worse for him because supposedly he might be called to court to answer for the charges leveled against him. Meanwhile, Jones has denied these allegations.

He had, in his defense, released a CCTV footage on 30th March, that shows the front part of his house where the interaction happened with the drug testing officials. He profusely denied threatening any of the job officials, but that does not seem to satisfy the legal forces. The Albuquerque Police Department has launched an investigation into this matter. Meanwhile, Luke Thomas shed light on the matter and how Dana White’s DSFI is raising concerns.

Thomas reiterated the story where drug testers went to Jones’s house to collect blood samples. According to ABQ Raw, the officials were threatened by the MMA fighter. The officials had come from Drug-free Sports International, which is the new team that White is collaborating with, to make sure that no fighter ingests any form of performance, enhancing d**gs before their fight. John Jones allegedly was intoxicated when the dr*g testers came into his house, and he also snatched one of their cell phones and threatened to kill them.

The two officials’ names were Crystal and Jerome according to Officer Aaron Bronsteter. The 34-year-old Hall of Famer showed a CCTV footage where he is acting friendly with the d**g testers and even high-fives them. Thomas then goes on to say, “We should sort of note like there is a weird conflict of interest that appears to be happening now that the UFC has moved this anti-doping program in-house where if testers end up in a situation where they feel like law enforcement should be involved, they’re having to according to this report and again we haven’t heard the UFC side of the story either.”

He also mentioned, “I don’t know like why would the UFC need to talk to someone who felt like they were physically threatened and wanted law enforcement involved, that’s her right. And her choice no matter what so there is a conversation to be had about what this means for the UFC’s anti-doping program. How much one can trust it…”

He furthermore mentioned that since the drug testing is now in-house, and there is no third party involved, the UFC is not going to be affected by it. He did show his concern for the employment of Jerome and Crystal while also being confident that the UFC authorities would not be affected by this accusation. Thomas did mention that it is going to put a splotch on the reputation of Jones, but according to him not on the UFC. However, it seems like Jones is denying all accusations.

He is out of the arena due to a shoulder injury, but it might take more time now because of the legal actions that are being taken against him.
