The former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier and Youtuber turned boxer Jake Paul are going back and forth for a long time, both on social media and in real life.
The beef between ‘DC’ and Paul became more serious when the pair had an altercation at UFC 261. Cormier left the commentary booth to have a face-to-face confrontation with ‘The Problem Child’ himself.

Recently, on the ESPN MMA Daniel Cormier and Ariel Helwani show, ‘DC’ made a chilling statement on Paul, clarifying that he won’t fight ‘The Problem Child’ in a boxing match, but in the octagon.
Cormier said, “Why would I go and box Jake Paul? Who I am, doesn’t make me chase anything. I made my money as the heavyweight champion of the world. I don’t have to chase a payday. This kid wants to fight, okay, I will fight him, but it will be a mixed martial arts competition. If he wants to actually fight with me, fight me in mixed martial arts.”
Cormier is now retired and living a happy and healthy lifestyle, but he will have no qualms in moving down to 205 pounds to fight Paul in a mixed martial arts competition.
To support his stand on not choosing to fight the ‘Problem Child’ in a boxing match, ‘DC’ said that he does not want to fight in a limited skill set of rules match.

Daniel Cormier wants to torture Jake Paul in MMA
It’s not a secret that Daniel Cormier does not like Jake Paul. The reason why ‘DC’ dislikes Paul might be the fact that Paul trash talks about elite athletes like Cormier himself. It is probably the primary reason why ‘DC’ wants to fight the ‘Problem Child’ in a mixed martial arts competition.
To express his dislike towards Paul, ‘DC’ said – “I am going to torture you, and I am going to rip his face apart. I am going to hurt the kid, and I will teach this kid not to continue to do this with people like me, athletes.”

Doubling down on his stance, Cormier said, “I will hurt this kid. I am not going to drop this kid, I am gonna choke him, I am gonna elbow him, I am gonna hurt him. I will actually hurt him, like don’t do that to me”.

Boxing is working out great for Jake Paul, and the chances of Paul fighting Daniel Cormier in MMA are very slim. At the same time, anything can happen in combat sports. If an MMA fight between the ‘Problem Child’ and ‘DC’ really happens, it sure will do great in PPV numbers.
