Technology has grown at a never-before-seen speed in the past few decades. Artificial Intelligence has taken giant leaps, while people were still in awe of the likes of Siri, Alexa, and Tesla. Now, something new has been developed that’s attracting a lot of attention. A newly trained model called ChatGPT interacts in a conversational way. It has the ability to stitch a New york Times standard news article and can suggest codes that function. Joe Rogan was talking to Bret Weinstein on his show ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ and the duo discussed the same.
While fans might be in awe of the technology, Joe Rogan’s guest and former professor of evolutionary biology felt “alarmed”. Bret Weinstein appeared in episode #1919 of Rogan’s podcast. He did appreciate the marvel that ChatGPT is, but he said it was worrying that an AI entity could say things that could potentially manipulate people.

Replying to the question, Weinstein said,“ It is often surprisingly good.” He added, “Its gonna get better there us going to be a chat GPT 3 a chat GPT 4, its gonna be so much better because it will come built with the improvements that have been gained through turning this one loose on the world.”

Despite the virtues of the AI language program, Weinstein wasn’t totally comfortable with ChatGPT. He said, “But I have to say, I am quite alarmed, not only that this thing exists, but I don’t think we’re ready for it. And I don’t think we’re ready for it in a couple different ways. I mean, if you wanna comfort yourself and say that this isn’t that serious that we have this AI that can do these really shocking things. The comforting thing is that the way it’s programmed, it doesn’t know what it’s saying.”
