Famous political reporter and commentator Jerry Springer recently passed away at just 79. He quickly became one of the biggest cultural phenomena in American history. Renowned action star and famous martial artist Michael Jai White expressed his thoughts on working with Springer in the movie ‘Ringmaster’ and described some details regarding his character in the movie.

Notably, Jerry Springer had a few movies under his belt, and has been infamously known for his role in ‘Ringmaster’, which didn’t perform too well at the box office. In the film, Springer had the chance of working with the 7-time black belt Michael Jai White. And while talking about his character from the film, White had some flavorful things to say about his character in the movie.

Michael Jai White baffles the interviewer after describing his character

Sitcom star Wendy Raquel Robinson also featured in ‘Ringmaster’ and Michael Jai White told ‘djvlad’ how much respect he had for her. White said, “I played Demond, I believe, with Wendy Raquel Robinson, who’s an amazing freaking talent still to this day.” He then goes on to explain the details regarding his character. The action star said, “I was cheating on my girl with her friends, that’s my character.”

When Michael Jai White revealed an alternate route that was suggested for his character, the interviewer found it hilarious. He added, “Then there was anything with…I slept with my stepdaddy.” The interviewer was seemingly confused and repeated the same thing White told him to be sure of what he had just heard. However, White quickly told him that it was another storyline that was pitched. “No, no, no. the other storyline was [that].”

White said he related to the questionable actions his character portrayed

While talking about his character in ‘Ringmaster’, Michael Jai White claimed that he had a rather similar experience to what ‘Demond‘ had in the movie while chuckling during the interview. He said, “I wasn’t that far removed from the guy who slept with my girlfriend’s friends. That I can’t say that was something I never experience back in the day.”

‘Ringmaster’ didn’t get a great reception from viewers and critics alike. It was only able to make over $9 million out of a budget of around $20 million. The reviews were mostly negative from the fans.

While ‘Ringmaster’ didn’t become the success White would have hoped for, he did go on to make some great movies later in his career, including the ‘Never Back Down’ franchise. He went on to garner a net worth of roughly $5 million. However, White still has more great movies to offer in the future.
