During the interview, Chuck Liddell expressed his desire for a rematch against his archrival. This came in response to a question asking about a moment from his career that he would like to relive. For Liddell, it is his infamous rematch with fellow veteran Quinton Jackson. The said bout took place as the main event of 71, in which ‘Rampage’ knocked out ‘Iceman’ just one minute and fifty-three seconds into the fight. A turning point in his career, the fight marked the end to Liddell’s terror run in the UFC’s Light Heavyweight division. For many, he would never recover from this loss. For those unfamiliar, Silva is regarded as one of the most dominant champions in the history of the promotion. After winning the title at UFC 64, the Brazilian would go on to defend it a record 10 times. Within this timeframe, his resume would add wins over Chael Sonnen, Rich Franklin, Vitor Belfort, and Dan Henderson. However, his iron grip over the UFC’s middleweight gold would come to an end at UFC 162 against Chris Weidman. Despite winning just one match after losing his title, ‘Spider’ is still remembered by many for his enigmatic striking during his prime years. Former Light Heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell is one of them.
