Joe Rogan is the charismatic host of one of the most successful podcasts, streaming on Spotify, The Joe Rogan Experience. Now, the show is very distinctive in its visual feel, with a great studio and swanky lighting. But there was a time when Rogan had to make do with whatever he had, to shoot the podcast. In the earlier days, the show had little to no budget. However, Rogan was extremely resourceful and managed to shoot the video on a low-quality camera at his own home. Also used a cheap microphone and called over his stand-up buddies to have a chat. That was the real, “Joe Rogan Experience”. Back then, Joe Rogan’s daughters were too young, and the house wasn’t too big. So, usually, he had to keep his young daughters away from his esteemed guests, for their own safety. Also had to worry about all the smoke that comes out of his room, which has been a mainstay in JRE since its inception.

Rogan said, “My daughters were really young, and I was bringing crazy people over and pot was coming out of the f*cking door and into the hallway.”

Therefore, the UFC commentator shifted to his man-cave podcast studio, which we all see today.
