The UFC community all over the world is eagerly waiting for UFC 285 to witness the fight between two superpowers. One factor that makes the fight a lot more exciting is the comeback of the former two-time UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones. From light heavyweight, Bones is moving up to heavyweight, where he will fight against the former UFC interim champion, Ciryl Gane. They both had quite remarkable MMA careers.

Jon Jones has a record of 26 victories and just a single loss, and Gane makes a worthy opponent for him with just a single loss and 11 victories. Nonetheless, recently, in a conversation with La Suer, ‘Bon Gamin’ talked about the biggest regret he has in his fighting career.

During the conversation with La Suer in French and translated by The Mac Life, Gane said, “I love grappling, but unfortunately, I’m lazy, that’s the truth. I only train when a fight is announced. I have a lot of media obligations. Professional opportunities outside of the sport. You can’t say no to all these things… If I look back at my career, this a regret: I only train when a fight is announced.”

He further stated, “I had my fight against Tuivasa, barely trained since then, and now I’m back it since the Jones fight has been announced.

UFC 285: Bones vs. Bon Gamin

Even though Gane calls himself lazy, the fighter has been highly successful in earning a big name in the UFC heavyweight division. Having Jon Jones as his opponent proves the same. However, at the moment it will be a disastrous move if Gane decides to remain lazy as Jones is one of the greatest fighters in UFC history.

Bon Gamin’s last fight was in September 2022, against Tai Tuivasa in the main event of UFC 209. The French MMA star was able to achieve a massive victory against Tuivasa with his strong punches. However, Gane was unable to earn a victory against the predator, Francis Ngannou, at UFC 270. The fight where he lost in round five via unanimous decision marked the only failure in his MMA career. However, fans now have to sit tight to know if Gane would emerge victorious against Jones on March 4th, at UFC 285.
