UFC 286 saw Leon Edwards prevail against Kamaru Usman. He defeated ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ via a majority win. But flyweight fighters Muhammad Mokaev and Jafel Filho battled it out on the preliminary card in one of the best fights of the night, which was won by the former via submission. ‘The Punisher’ may have won the match, but suffered an injury to his knee. He discussed his fight in a post on social media and many fans reacted to it.

Muhammad Mokaev remains undefeated in the UFC after a commendable performance in London last weekend. His winning streak has now grown to four fights under the UFC banner. Mokaev registered yet another submission victory, which adds to his total number of wins by submission to five out of his 10 wins so far in MMA.

However, the win didn’t come easily to ‘The Punisher’ as he was caught in a leg lock by Filho that tore ligaments in his knee. Mokaev has built a reputation for never tapping out both in his amateur and professional career so far. However, people on social media claim that it wasn’t a wise move on his end to not consider tapping out. They believe he was risking his career. But the Flyweight star took notice of those comments and reacted to them in a Twitter post.

‘The Punisher’ wrote: “Seen some tweets saying, you didn’t tap but you might risk to end your career! I rather end my career without being quitter.. I’m in crazy pain right now but if I would tap it would hurt my heart even more.”

This tweet prompted a reaction from a former UFC fighter, Ben Rothwell. He wished him a full recovery and hoped that he earned some good chunk of money for that fight.
