“I know Khabib, and I know him like a brother, like a human who follows his word. If he says something, he follows [it]. [It] doesn’t matter if it’s bad for him or good for him. This man is like – this is like what I learned for my life now. He’s like an example for me – not only in the sport but in life too!”

The Bellator lightweight champ stated: “When I see, like – he tells something, he always follows his word. And I don’t think he’s gonna be coming back like a coach – corner or even he doesn’t come to watch fights in the arena…”

Usman Nurmagomedov also expressed his deep longing for Khabib’s presence in his training sessions and corners. He confessed, “I miss him a lot, to be honest. I text him every day, like – ‘Hey, when are you coming back?’ He tells me, ‘Hey, leave me alone!’ [laughs].”
