‘It Just Doesn’t Make Sense’- Chuck Liddell Plays Down Potential Jake Paul Fight
Follow Us
Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell has been involved with YouTuber turned pro-boxer Jake Paul in a Twitter spat. ‘The Problem Child’ has created some noise by boxing non-boxers inside the squared ring. His stock rose even further after his win against Ben Askren recently.
Paul has been disrespectful to other fighters and mocked them relentlessly. Combat sports fans didn’t like those antics from him. They have called for a proper striker to fight him and shut him up. Recently, a fan requested ‘The Iceman’ on Twitter to take care of Paul and close this drama once and for all.

“I’m ready anytime for that clown,” Liddell responded to that. Since then, he appeared for an interview with TMZ Sports. Liddell dismissed a possible fight between him and ‘The Problem Child’. The former UFC superstar believes it would be unfair for them to fight as he would hurt Paul badly. Moreover, Liddell believes Paul himself doesn’t want his smoke at all.
“He’s not good enough to fight me,” said Liddell. “It just doesn’t make sense for him. None of it makes sense for this guy. He’s going to risk getting hurt like that?” he further added.
Liddell was one of the most vicious strikers to ever grace the UFC Octagon. His 13 career wins by knockout prove that point as well. So, one might understand why he thinks Paul doesn’t want his smoke by any means at all.

Chuck Liddell vs Jake Paul: How would a fight between the duo go?
Paul has beaten 3 non-boxers in his career. The only actual fighter in his record is a retired Ben Askren. Also, throughout his fighting career, ‘Funky’ was not known to be a striker. So, his first-round knockout win isn’t something glorious by any means.
Liddell, on the other hand, has been irrelevant for almost over a decade now. One might argue that his 2018 fight with Tito Ortiz shouldn’t have happened in the first place. But he remains a legend of the sport and probably still has the skills to dismantle Paul.
