Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega delivered a ‘Fight of the Year’ worthy performance at UFC 266. However, it took a lot from Ortega to keep going after the punishment he received at the end of the third round. Most of the MMA community gave respect to ‘T-City’ for the same, while some made a strong point on fighter’s safety. One such person includes Volkanovski’s coach, Eugene Bareman.
In the third round, Ortega managed to put Volkanovski in a tight guillotine choke. It appeared the fight was about to conclude with ‘T-City’ coming on top. However, ‘The Great’ had other plans.
