The MMA world recently bore witness to a sad departure. Chan Sung Jung popularly known as ‘The Korean Zombie’, recently announced his retirement from fighting. The Korean Featherweight fought his last fight at the UFC Fight Night on the 26th of August. His last fight saw him go up against ‘Blessed’ Max Holloway. However, ‘The Zombie’ suffered a TKO loss in the third round after which he announced his retirement.
The last loss, however, does not hamper the amazing legacy that Sung Jung will leave behind. In a recent show of acknowledgment, fellow UFC fighter Dustin Poirier had some kind words for the ex-fighter. The screenshots showed a wholesome conversation that ensued between the two UFC fighters. Interestingly, the two faced off almost a decade ago with the ‘Zombie’ coming out on top back then.
