Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harrison are right now two of the most dominant women in MMA. Nunes is the UFC women’s bantamweight and featherweight champion. ‘Lioness’ is unbeaten in her last 12 fights and has beaten the likes of Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm, and Cris Cyborg. Harrison, on the other hand, is a two-time PFL women’s lightweight champion and is 12-0 in her MMA career.
Kayla Harrison is currently a free agent and is looking at her options, which include Bellator, UFC, and PFL. If she comes to the UFC, she could cross paths with Nunes.
For many, this is a dream matchup. However, both women have been training together for some time now. Before Harrison’s fight against Taylor Guardado, they were training together.

American Top Team coach Mike Brown, in a recent interview, was asked about the two training together. He said, “Before Kayla’s fight, they were training together quite a bit. Drilling, rolling, and I think it was making them both better. Pushing them to another level, if you can believe that. They’re top of the food chain and still improving, still getting better.”
“That’s the luxury of being here, man,” said Brown, referring to the American Top Team gym. “We got great coaches and unbelievable deep talent pool and the old cliche, iron sharpens iron but there’s some truth to that.”
Harrison is the hottest free agent in the sport right now. She has destroyed her opposition since making a switch to mixed martial arts. Even though she is the teammate of Nunes, many want to see them fight. However, Mike Brown doesn’t think it will happen.

Mike Brown doesn’t want Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harrison to fight
According to most, Amanda Nunes is the greatest female MMA fighter of all time. She is currently a two-division UFC champion and has dominated her opponents. Harrison is on her way to being the next big thing in women’s MMA. Undefeated in her career, the now free agent is looking for a promotion to sign with. If she is signed by the UFC, a matchup with Nunes for the featherweight title is inevitable.

However, Mike Brown doesn’t see that happening. He said, “This is the dream fight people want to see. But this is the same team, same gym, not gonna happen I wouldn’t imagine. Different organizations, different trajectories, and there’s plenty to eat out there.”
