Khabib Nurmagomedov Reveals What His Father Told Him When He Asked Him for Money

Khabib Nurmagomedov is undoubtedly one of the greatest mixed martial artists the world has ever witnessed. The fact that the Dagestani has never lost a single fight only adds to his case. His professional fight record stands at 29 wins and zero defeats.
During his prime days, ‘The Eagle’ was absolutely unstoppable. He defeated some of the best fighters in the UFC. Some of these include Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje, and Dustin Poirier.
Nurmagomedov has attributed all the greatness he’s achieved in his life to his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. His father has helped him to become what he is today. He trained him and nurtured him to be a world champion.

Recently, Khabib appeared in an interview and opened up about his childhood and how he was raised by his father.
Khabib spoke about an important life lesson his father taught him about money. He said,” the first life lesson from my father was when I asked money from him. When he answered me, ‘Money must be earned, I am not going just to give you money, And the life will teach you that there are nothing for free in this life.”

How did Khabib Nurmagomedov lose his father?
Khabib shared a very close bond with his father. Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was Khabib’s trainer, and he also trained some of the best Dagestani fighters that are on the UFC roster. Some of these include Islam Makhachev and Zubaira Tukhugov.

Khabib lost his father due to the health complications he faced due to COVID-19. After the death of his father, Khabib Nurmagomedov announced his retirement from the UFC. His last fight was against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in October last year.
