Leon Edwards has his vision clear

Edwards is the reigning welterweight champion. And he became so by defeating Kamaru Usman at UFC 278 in 2022. He won by knockout and even defended his title against Usman once afterward. So, if you defeat the greatest welterweight around twice, do you have much to fear? Here’s his response to being asked how he sees the Covington fight.

“I think just it cements my legacy right,” he told ESPN MMA.  “I think Dana came out before and said if Kamaru weren’t the champion, Colby would be the champion you know. So I feel like me going out there and taking out someone like Colby just keeps adding to my story you know and that’s it really it’s just another fight and another person in front of me.”

“Everyone’s saying that he can put a pace and keep the pace for the full fight.
