Vera himself looked very unclear about his future plans. He stated, “Well at this point there’s nothing really said.” He also stated, “We all want more, right? But in order to get more we need to do more and to me, it’s just, you know, give me a fight”.

‘Chito’ also was confident that his next fight won’t be a title shot since the former two-weight division champion, Henry Cejudo, was set to make a return. Vera stated, “They won’t give me the title shot because Henry Cejudo’s coming back and since he never lost”. He also said, “So Cejudo’s fu**ng with the belt”.

Vera also presented his opinion about O’Malley, saying, “O’Malley will sit down and wait for the winner of that.” Hence, it left him with the option of Petr Yan as his opponent. Vera stated, “I’ve been trying to get the fight with Yan, but he was always crying to the UFC about the judge and he should’ve won”.

He further talked about Cejudo stating, “Yeah, as of now, I just thought that Cejudo come back and he’s just jump the ladder you know”. He also said, “Give me the other guy in line. Who was the last champion? Yan, so give me Yan.”

Marlon Vera gave his advice to Petr Yan

Talking about his probable fight with Yan, Vera said that I heard he’s still crying about the decision about O’Malley. He like, O, I should’ve win, I wanna go to bed, blah blah, f**k you guys. You know, he’s just crying like a little bi**h right now.” He also gave his advice to ‘No Mercy’, stating that shouting about his past loss is only going to waste his energy.
