Holloway’s current wife is a professional surfer

The former UFC featherweight king and self-proclaimed, “best boxer in the UFC” is currently married to renowned surfer, Alessa Quizon. According to reports online, the couple began dating in February 2020 and in April 2022, Holloway revealed that they had exchanged their wedding vows, as he shared the heartfelt update on social media.

Also a Hawaii native, Quizon began surfing when she was just 4 years old as she was inspired by her sister who was also chasing the dream of becoming a professional surfer. In a past interview with Teen Vogue from 2014, Quizon had revealed, “My sister is 10 years older than me and she was going the professional route. I wanted to be just like her”

She won her first contest at age 10 and secured a sponsorship at age 12 and hasn’t looked back since. She holds the distinction of competing in various top-tier surfing contests around the world which include the Fijian Women’s Pro Surfing Championship and West Australian Margaret Pro Surfing Championship.

Quizon and Holloway also share a close relationship that they share with their fans on social media. In fact, in 2022, a video of Holloway attempting to prank his wife went viral due to the hilarious interaction between the pair.

‘Blessed’ tried to scare Quizon by wearing a mask and waiting for her around a corner, but to his and the viewer’s surprise, she did not react to the attempt. However, when Holloway removed the mask, his wife exclaimed her shock and surprise at finding him under the mask. And so, the UFC fighter hilariously shared the update on Instagram and captioned the video, “C’mon man #daddestmanontheplanet”

Despite Holloway’s failed attempt to scare Quizon, the playful moment underscored the lighthearted dynamic between the pair. As Holloway continues to make waves in the world of mixed martial arts and Quizon rides the waves in professional surfing, their relationship serves as a reminder of the beauty of love and partnership both in and out of the spotlight!
