‘Maybe He Don’t Like My Jokes’- Lightweight Prospect Rafael Fiziev Opens Up on His Rivalry With Kevin Lee

UFC lightweight, Rafael Fiziev will return to action this weekend at UFC 265. The striking sensation will take on Bobby Green in the featured prelims spot of the pay-per-view. The 28-year-old Kyrgyz fighter is currently riding a 3-fight winning streak. He last knocked out Renato Carneiro in a sensational manner.
‘Ataman’ had been out of action since UFC 256. Fans were in anticipation of when he will finally return to the Octagon. Well, the wait is over as the rising star will look to put on a show in a few hours’ time. Ahead of his return, Fiziev detailed his early idea about his opponent Green and how he has been following the 34-year-old for a long time.

“I am happy. I am happy. I know him from long time because, long time ago I started following MMA and I know his name long time ago. And when UFC said he is your next opponent, I am thinking, Wow!” said Fiziev.
“Because long time long time ago when I stay in my country, when I don’t think about a professional career, when I think well, I am just work in police, I will never go to MMA, you know. When I, when I hear it, I am like, wow, let’s go,” he added.

“Bobby Green, he is a tough, he is experienced and good guy. I see him. I see him in the hotel. We talk little bit. He’s a good guy, just respect, you know,” he said further.
“Just, hey, what’s up, my man? How are you? Feeling good, you know, ready to fight,” he detailed about their conversation.

It was not so long ago that ‘Ataman’ had an encounter with Kevin Lee in Vegas. Fiziev comprehended what enraged ‘Motown Phenom‘. “Ahh, I think Kevin just maybe, he don’t understand me little bit. Maybe, he’s just saying it because I like him to fight. Maybe, he don’t like my jokes,” said the Kyrgyz fighter.
