“My Back Is All F*cked Up” – 55-Year-Old Joe Rogan Curses at ‘Worst’ Jiu-Jitsu for Painful Health Condition

UFC commentator Joe Rogan, whose over two decades of association with the UFC is sailing smoothly, has had his fair share of troubles. While the noted podcaster achieved unscalable fame in the MMA, he also faced the ordeals of an athlete. Notably, the comedian started his career as a kickboxer and subsequently transitioned to comedy due to his troubles with injuries. Later on, he would join the UFC as a color commentator, however, his troubles didn’t stop plaguing him. The renowned TV presenter researched and then resorted to alternative remedies such as stem cells instead of surgery to ease his pain. Similarly, he recently opened up about his ‘f*cked up’ back and the source of his troubles lies with his fitness obsession.
The 55-year-old disclosed his struggles in ep #1942 of The Joe Rogan Experience, as he sat down with author Mark Greaney. In a segment, the guest admitted his battles with bulging disks. Talking about the same, Rogan advised him to opt for stem cell treatment and narrated his side of the painful experience.

Joe Rogan reveals his ‘f*cked up’ back issues stemming from Jiu-Jitsu
After listening to his guest’s endeavors with bulging disks, the stand-up comic mentioned, “My back is all f*cked up. From the top of my neck, all the way down to my lower back.”
Following this, the former Fear Factor host also pointed out the cause. Thus, he said, “Have issues from Jiu-Jitsu. Jiu-Jitsu is the worst. Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling. It’s like people are constantly shoving your neck into the ground.”

The UFC personnel then compared the uneasy pressure to getting stacked. In addition, he expressed how all the weight lay on one’s upper back and neck. While someone got a hold of the legs and tried to pass, one would resist and move. Hence, it put a tremendous strain on the spinal column.
Further, he cautioned as unless one strengthened and kept all the tissues around that stable, one would sustain injuries.

Rogan’s solution to safeguard his neck:
The MMA analyst furthermore put forth his solution to secure his neck. He relies on something called ‘iron neck’ where he put a halo and a bungee cord.
That adds a pressure of 50 lbs to pull it back. Therefore, keeping everything strong and functional.
