In a tweet made shortly after the fight, the 40-year-old let his frustration out. Volkanovski had Makhachev in trouble on numerous occasions. In fact, the Australian’s cardiovascular abilities even gave him the upper hand later on in the fight.

Lil Wayne does not agree with the UFC 284 main event result

As much as Volkanovski surprised in the grappling department, Makhachev held his own in the striking area. The 31-year-old was able to amass significant strikes on Volkanovski thanks to the difference in their height and reach. Nevertheless, the man who came from down under, the heavy underdog, nearly got the job done. The 34-year-old finished the fight on top against the decorated grappler Makhachev.

A close fight in the opinion of many, the scorecards in favor of the lightweight champion were met with boos from the audience. Meanwhile, Lil Wayne voiced his decision on Twitter He wrote, “Not sure if I’ll ever watch UFC again.”
