UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena has been in the headlines ever since her victory at UFC 269. She dethroned Amanda Nunes last month and is currently enjoying her time as the new UFC champion. ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ will soon feature in an episode of the famous The Joe Rogan Experience.

Pena lauded Joe Rogan in her recent interview with The New York Post. The UFC bantamweight champion said, “I’m going on Joe Rogan on January 26. I was like, Joe, I wanna come on the podcast.’ He was like, ‘Let’s f–king go.”

Julianna Pena also talked about Rogan’s loyalty to the UFC, as he is still working with the promotion despite his other ventures. She said, “The fact that he still wants to do it, and that he’s still passionate about it, shows the kind of person he is, where his heart is and how loyal he is.”

“I admire that. There’s not anything bad that I can say about Joe. I think he’s a genuine, what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of person, and that’s a rarity in this day and age to see people who are no bulls**t.”

Julianna Pena wants to fight Ronda Rousey inside the UFC cage

‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ has had a bitter past with former UFC women’s champion Ronda Rousey. Both the fighters were a part of The Ultimate Fighter show back in 2013, where Pena was in fellow fighter Miesha Tate‘s team against Rousey.

As Tate and ‘Rowdy’ were rivals in the UFC, Pena, who won the tournament, has shared a bitter relationship with Rousey.

In an interview with The New York Post, the bantamweight champion revealed the whole scenario with Rousey. She said, “We’re not friends. We don’t speak. She really had a tough time getting along with me on The Ultimate Fighter. She didn’t like me at all because I was friends with Miesha Tate. She wasn’t the nicest.”

“It would be amazing to pull Ronda Rousey back out of retirement. It would be great to have her come back to UFC and fight again.”

As Rousey parted ways with the promotion and is currently with WWE, it will be difficult to make this fight happen. What are your thoughts about Pena‘s words? Let us know in the comments below.
