Joe Rogan has a stacked resume – from being a martial artist, podcaster, commentator, and reality show host, to being a stand-up comic who owns a comedy club, the man has done it all. But did you know that there was a time when Rogan considered a far too different career path? The longtime UFC color commentator recently shed light on how he could have ended up in a different professional field altogether in a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience.’

Rogan recently revealed on JRE that he wanted to be a comic book illustrator. The 56-year-old was a fan of art during his younger years, which he revealed during a recent episode of his multimillion-dollar podcast.

The JRE host had Stavros Halkias as his guest on the #2072 episode of his famed podcast. While talking about his past in Tae Kwon Do, Halkias asked him what he did before diving into martial arts. Joe Rogan claimed that he was an artist and wanted to be a comic book illustrator.

“[As a little kid] I was in art. I wanted to be a comic book illustrator. Yeah, I wanted to make comic books,” said Joe Rogan. He also mentioned that art was his forte, and he used to draw a lot. The 56-year-old further continued, “Oh, yeah [on being able to draw]. Real good. That was my sh*t. I used to draw.”

Joe Rogan then mentioned that we could even find his art pieces online. He had this one specific drawing of three pigs and a werewolf, which he was very proud of.

“I was really good, man. There’s some stuff online that you could find. Like, this one little thing I did with three little pigs with the big bad wolf,” Joe Rogan told Stavros Halkias. He even revealed what type of art interested him the most.

Joe Rogan mentioned that his wish to become a comic book illustrator stemmed from his love for black and white comic books. Those comic books had a horror theme to them, which led him to start drawing art of that kind. Joe Rogan said, “There’s a few of those that I did. It was like, I drew stuff that was like, there was a lot of black and white comic books that were like creepy and eery.”

He admitted to being a fan of the fabled werewolves. Joe Rogan had a lot of art related to the mythical creature. But his favorite art still is the three pigs and the wolf, which he has shared on his Instagram handle a few years earlier. “I drew a lot of those, a lot of werewolves… I was just really into werewolves. One that I drew of the big bad wolf… with three little pigs. That’s in there somewhere,” Rogan added.
