This is because of Ngannou’s reach and sheer knockout power. According to Rogan, because the cage was considerably smaller, Miocic could not stay far from Ngannou.

“This is the heavyweight championship of the world. It is in a small cage which is terrible for Stipe. Because he gotta get away from that guy. Anytime you can’t move backward, it’s because there is a cage there. You gotta get away from that guy. He is so destructive, he is so terrifying.”

UFC 260 was not the first time Ngannou and Miocic had faced each other. Before defeating the former UFC champion, Ngannou had earlier suffered defeat at his hands at UFC 220. Talking about this, Rogan praised the evolution of ‘The Predator’s game, attributing his progress to his association with the esteemed trainer Eric Nicksick of Xtreme Couture.
