“This Kid Is Gonna Be a Problem” – Stephen Wonderboy Thompson & Fans Left Amazed by 59-Second KO at UFC 284

The UFC 284 took place at RAC Arena on February 12 at the RAC Arena in Perth. Headlined by the super-fight Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev, the fight card offered exciting matchups and high-paced action. Similarly, the event offered a path to glory as well as a chance for the fighters to cement their legacy. Notably, one prelim fight involving Kleydson Rodrigues and Shannon Ross
attracted the attention of the fans for the unusual move pulled off by the flyweight fighter. While the fight stood on the fans’ expectations, they didn’t see the unusual move coming from the Brazilian. However, the UFC star Stephen Thompson might take the credit for inspiring the flyweight prospect.

Notably, Rodrigues dominated his opponent throughout and made quick work of him. Therefore, he scored a win via TKO within the first minute of the fight.

How did the fight at UFC 284 pan out?

The 27-year-old Brazilian started off strong and put the pressure initially. Team Nogueira representative brought explosive leg kicks early in the fight, which his opponent had no response to.

Following this smart and effective use of the leg kicks, ‘KR’ pushed his opponent to the cage. While his opponent tried to maintain the distance, the 8-2 record holder hit him with the usual spinning move.

Subsequently, he plumed Ross with a barrage of punches and the referee stopped the fight at 59 seconds of the first round. Thus, Rodrigues got his hand raised and return to the win column.

As expected, His unusual move caught the eye of ‘Wonderboy’ and fans alike.

The welterweight fighter pointed out that Rodrigues watched one of his previous YouTube videos where he runs and hit his sparring partner with the same move.

Thus, the 39-year-old wrote, “I think Rodrigues watched one of my YouTube videos #UFC284”

A fan wrote, “Learned from the best”

A comment read “Technique Tuesday babyyyyy”

Someone wrote, “It is your strongest muscle might as well implement it!”

A user had a cheeky response as he called it a  “spinning back as*”

A fan announced that Rodrigues might be a problem in the future. This kid is gonna be a problem 👀
