Rogan added, “He has one loss to Cameron and one loss to Islam Makhachev and by most people’s eye’s number 1 or number 2 pound for pound in the world.” In addition, he felt the need to reiterate his perspective about the rising prospect of the lightweight division and said, “That guy, Arman Tsarukyan, is a f*cking assassin.”

In an interview, he stated, “So when I talked to my manager, I told him the best-case scenario is going to be a fight with Charles Oliveira and then fight for the title with Islam and I wanted UFC 300. And I got it, so I’m so happy, I’m so excited to fight in UFC 300, especially with former champion Charles Oliveira. So it’s super exciting, you know. And I want to say thank you UFC for that opportunity for me.”
