You need to check out 55-year-old UFC commentator Joe Rogan‘s Instagram account to understand the importance he gives to fitness. On several occasions, Rogan has revealed the importance he gives to the food he eats. There were several incidents where he lashed out at food nutritionists for providing misleading information to the public. One such incident was when the government-funded food pyramid was released. Rogan was enraged after seeing lucky charms shown to be healthier than steak. Recently, a similar incident happened where Rogan was unable to handle the new absurdity.

News punch put the claim forward on January 24 in an article. The title itself caught the attention of the netizens; it said, “Scientists warn eggs are causing thousands of people to ‘suddenly’ form blood clots.” However, the article received several backlashes from nutritionists and celebrities. Rogan reposted the Instagram post of the former research biochemist, Robb Wolf, who criticized the absurdity of the post with facts. Moreover, under the reposted content, Rogan wrote, “This is either some black belt level trolling, or the AI has gone sentient, and it’s starting to f**k with us.”

The post garnered attention from thousands of people and also MMA promotions. The official page of Bellator MMA mocked the previous government-funded food pyramid by writing: “The answer is simple: just eat lucky charms replies”

Dr. Paul Saladino, who provides informative content related to animal-based diets on Instagram, wrote: It’s the same old TMAO from choline fear mongering that’s been repeated over and over again. There’s so much good evidence that elevated levels are connected with reverse causality is diabetes and kidney disease (these illnesses raise TMAO, and not that TMAO causes these things)”

Although some were seriously pissed off, some decided to react in the funniest way. Ash Dykes said: Starving sounds like the best method to save ourselves.”

While Phil Heath quoted the famous line: “These are not the droids you are looking for”

The MMA fighter Lando Vannata left a funny comment: “This is why I only eat eggs”

Shannon Briggs wrote: “My egg f**ts have been quite pungent lately. #chillchampchill”

The actor, Kit Dale, joked: “These goddamn anti-eggsers are a danger to everybody.”

The MMA star, Marlon Vera had a unique concern on the matter: “What would the aliens say about this”

Randy Couture wrote: “What is this? Wow! Just wow! What bulls**t”

Some reactions on the matter were quite serious; many people, including celebrities, felt that blaming eggs was a strategy of the government to cover up the damage done by the COVID-19 vaccines, Jonas Bilharinho wrote: “People are sudden forming blood clots since the vaccine for covid-19 and now they need something to blame…”

Eggs are not dangerous!

After the claim received millions of attention, even from top internet celebrities like Joe Rogan, Phil Heath, Randy Couture, etc. Independent fact checkers investigated further on the matter. Soon afterward, it was proven that the information given in the article was completely wrong. Moreover, the original article said that the presence of choline (a nutrient similar to vitamin B) in eggs can raise TMAO; which causes blood clots and can result in increased risks of heart attack and stroke. However, later, a number of studies proved that the claim was wrong and absurd.
